Old Town is a historical part of San Diego located in the heart of the city. With a variety of events, festivals, theater and amazing restaurants this is definitely one of our top recommendations.
And if you are looking for an extra thrill, you can visit the Whaley House, named the #1 haunted house in the USA.
Maritime Museum
Known for one of the largest collections of historic sea vessels in the USA, the Maritime Museum is a joy to visit for any ship lover. The museum is lucky enough to be the location of the 1863 Star of India, a full-rigged iron windjammer ship.
USS Midway
The USS Midway is another maritime museum, however, this museum is a much more modern version. This aircraft carrier was the longest-serving in the 20th century and was home to over 200,000 sailors who partook in naval aviation and humanitarian missions.
San Diego’s Signature Meal
There is no way we could list all the amazing restaurants that San Diego has to offer, however, what we can recommend is what you should eat.
Taco’s
Plain and simple. San Diego makes a mean taco! Especially the fish tacos.
And to top it off, the city knows how to make a mean margarita to go with it.
